Anti-inflammatory switch-cold therapy

1

What is 'inflammation'

Inflammation is the body's self-protection mechanism. When the body is injured and infected with bacteria or viruses, the immune system is like a 'fire brigade' and begins to release 'inflammatory factors' to kill the source of infection and remove necrotic cells. However, long-term inflammation will destroy blood vessels, joints, brain and other organs, thus causing a series of diseases.

The Importance of 'Anti-Inflammation'

2

Why is 'anti-inflammation' so important? Why has 'anti-inflammation' become something everyone is doing nowadays? Inflammation is the culprit of many serious diseases. Inflammation is more or less behind the well-known coronary heart disease, stroke (chronic inflammation), gastric cancer (Helicobacter pylori inflammation), liver cancer (chronic hepatitis), colon cancer (enteritis), etc. At the same time, inflammation can lead to collagen damage and oxidative stress, accelerate skin relaxation, and is the 'culprit' of premature aging and major diseases.

Cold therapy = freezing the body?

3

When we Chinese people mention 'cold' in their consciousness, we will unconsciously have the impression that we will catch a cold, let cold evil enter the body, and block Qi and blood, which makes talking about 'cold' change the color. In fact, these are all preconceived ideas, just like heat stroke and heat therapy. Cold therapy combines precise temperature control with modern technology and scientific experimental data to ensure safety while maximizing the effects of cold therapy on the body.

Cold therapy and anti-inflammation

4

What is cold therapy? Cold therapy exposes the body to an extremely low temperature environment for 1-3 minutes (whole body cold therapy temperature generally ranges from -80°C to -140°C). High-sensitivity C-reactive protein, leukocyte differentiation factor, and prostaglandins will be significantly reduced due to low temperature, thereby regulating the inflammatory factors experienced. At the same time, low temperature will cause the body's blood vessels to rapidly contract, reduce bleeding and the leakage of local inflammatory factors, and can also relieve inflammation. A two-pronged approach makes cold therapy have a significant effect in anti-inflammatory.

5

More importantly, inflammatory factors will continue to be released after exercise, which together with muscle damage will cause muscle redness, swelling and soreness after exercise. The effect of cold therapy is to reduce inflammatory factors and shrink capillaries. This can achieve the effect of repairing muscle damage, relieving redness and swelling, and quickly restoring physical fitness. Therefore, it has now become the first choice for many professional athletes for quick repair after competition.

6

Of course, cold therapy is neither a drug nor a surgery that can solve all your problems in an instant. It is more like daily maintenance, always keeping your body in the best condition to face the wind and waves. If you want a low-cost, healthy choice that does not burden your liver, you may start with cold therapy and turn on your 'cold therapy anti-inflammatory switch.'
