Case Study

Rapid Muscle Recovery & Enhanced Training Performance
Most members experience lactic acid buildup and muscle soreness after training, which can impact attendance and slow recovery.
Since introducing ultra-low temperature cryotherapy, members now take a 3-minute session immediately after workouts.
For that reason, soreness is reduced, recovery speeds up, performance improves, and member retention rises—naturally.

FAQ Users

  • What is Whole Body Cryotherapy?

Whole Body Cryotherapy is the exposure of the human body to extreme cold, most often applied inside a cryosauna or cryochamber. Client testimonials indicate rapid and improved response to injury after both short-term and long-term conditioning of the body, short term psychological benefits and positive effects on the skin.
Whole-Body Cryotherapy is also often considered the ice-bath of the 21st century.

  • Is WBC safe?

WBC is performed in the controlled environment of a cryosauna or cryotherapy chamber and clients are monitored at all times by trained staff. All equipment complies with health and safety standards and undergoes annual certification processes.
All cryogenic chamber operators must comply with requirements set by the Manufacturer and local health & safety guidelines before they can operate their cryotherapy equipment.
Boreas equipment is used by tens of thousands of customers on a daily basis. Millions of people annually take advantage of the beneficial effects of cryotherapy using
    Boreas equipment.

  • How many WBC Sessions can I do in one day?

Two treatments per day are the maximum allowed. Treatments must be at least 4 hours apart. Repeating sessions too close together offers no additional benefit and may pose a safety risk.

  • Can I double dip? (Repeat or continue session within 10 minutes)

No. Repeating the session too soon may cause skin irritation or even frostbite. In the minutes following the treatment, the temperature of the skin still has not returned to normal and repeated exposure to subzero temperatures can pose a risk to sensitive skin.

  • Who should not use Whole Body Cryotherapy?

See list of Indications & Contraindications

  • Can I catch a cold from WBC?

There is no data suggesting that the client may catch a cold from the cryo procedure.
  • How many treatments should I do to achieve desired results?

Based on the testimonials collected from hundreds of locations, results of short term and long term conditioning largely vary for each client. Request the treatment protocol from a Eonfull Health rep to receive more detailed information.

  • How do I feel after I finish a treatment ?

During each session the body releases endorphins, which are hormones that make you feel good and energetic. The buoyant effects from each session last at least 6-8 hours and increase with the number of treatment sessions. Many clients have expressed that they have the best night of sleep after a cryotherapy session. Check out WBC Effects.

  • I'm new to cryotherapy, what intensity would you recommend going in for the first time?

For first-time users, we recommend starting at less extreme temperatures between -110ºC to -120ºC or -166ºF to -185ºF, what we call the Optimal Range. This is mainly because some clients may be more sensitive to the cold than others and sudden exposure to such extreme temperatures may lead to reddening or in some cases even frostbite. The importance of correct procedure during the introductory session should not be underestimated. From our records, we have found that 99% of new clients that remained within the Optimal Range did not have an adverse reaction to the treatment, even with increased risk factors such as cold allergy or other cold sensitivity. Most clients need to build up their resistance over several sessions.

  • Is the treatment comfortable?

During the treatment, using the safety collar improves the flow of the cold air inside, can save LN2 and makes the whole treatment safer. The clients head and face must remain outside of the cabin for the duration of the treatment. The gasiform air consists of dry cold, which means the treatment is tolerable to many who may consider themselves cold intolerant. Once in, the door is closed, but never locked.

  • What do I wear inside the cryosauna/cryochamber?

You should keep on any undergarments. Men, briefs. Women, underwear and bra. Everyone is provided with safety footwear and a robe, which you will remove once you are inside the Cryosauna. Only your hands and face are visible to the operator during the procedure, so modesty is preserved at all times.

  • What are the immediate risks involved with WBC?

Allergic reaction to cold Frostbite, cold burns, or skin redness
—Due to incorrect operation or hypersensitive skin
    Claustrophobia, anxiety
Fluctuations in blood pressure (returns to normal levels after treatment)Hypoxia
—caused by insufficient oxygen saturation in the room. (Incorrect operation procedure)
